seems quite a good card to me for decks like blackwings, fabled and everything that runs only darks. Could someone please explain the reasons why this card is never included in most Advanced Format decklists?

| Bc there are much better cards to use. Why use Dark Illusion when you can negate ANY spell or trap that DOESN'T target or a summon even with Solemn Judgement? The most prominant targeting card is D-Prison and that can be easily stopped by Solemn or a simple Seven Tools Of The Bandit. Seven Tools stops non-targetting traps too | |

| yes, i thought they were dark... :P
I understand that other traps are more reliable but dark illusion doesn't need a cost. I think it would be a great choice for someone who can't play all that expensive and hard-to-find traps

| Solemn is $10 and 7Tools is like $1 xD. As far as negation goes, Solemn and a Tools or 2 cuts it. The rest of the traps are for monster removal | |

| however this card might be a good card vs decks that have many cards that target, like dragunity (icarus, aklys and legionnaire) | |

| In a format with many cards that target, I am pretty sure this would see play in DARK decks. I used to run these back when I started playing competitive ygo. I sided it against monarchs and decks that used those blasted boms and stuff. Look closely on the format and then decide ;) The players that top may argue there are better cards to run. But sometimes formats change when a single player adds a card that nobody else uses and it proves more efficient. Right now I'd say not to run it or maybe side it. Wait for future formats then fire away!
I had the exact same question about Black Horn of Heaven when i realised that everyone considers bth and the solemns more than enough.
