at least that's what i'd do if i were Konami. i don't want dandy limited but it's the logical choice. nothing else is particularly broken per se in quickdraw/debris, the cards just have amazing synergy. and i agree with scorp, mezuki should go back to 2, zombies just aren't as good anymore and mezuki at two wouldn't make them unstoppable or anything. i don't think they NEED to change anything else, but they probably will change the meta yet again (example:banning dark hole/reborn/cold wave and bringing back different broken cards)

Yeah i agree with harper POA must be semi limited like it was 2 - 3 formats before, dont remember so well, i just remember it was during the format where breaker the magical warrior was Limited -.-

I dont like to break your expectation guys but I'm pretty sute gateway of the six wont get hitted. Konami will probably let Six samurais for a whole format as the top deck to make some money or they will hit it in the middle of the format ( it hapens sometimes when a deck is really too strong ). Warning is not a solemn judgement so it will probably be semi limited and not limited.

Dark Hole and reborn dont really screw the format. The only thing i cant waith to see in the ban cards is COLDWAVE !!!!! When your opponent a ctivates coldwave it can only mean 3 things.

1- Half of your lifepoints are gonne for a Solemn Judgement
2- You must have a Veiler in hand to survive this turn ( if the opponent dont chain mindcrush )
3- GAME !!!!

Agreed with poa at two, I could see that. It wouldn't kill the consistancy but it will slow spamming of it. I'm a little torn about Gateway. In a way you're right, Konami will let us have our fun with six sams. On the other hand, Gateway being semi'd doesn't hurt the consistancy much...at all. They'll still have amazing speed with everything else. Also they might let us have our fun with warning for a few more formats, though I don't agree it'll be semi'd...that's pointless. No one runs three unless they don't run judgement

Ps: I love Cold Wave. Not having to worry about spells and traps for a 2 turns=win <3

Type-based archetypes will be hit too hard if this comes out. BWs for example. It will hit Sams too, which is a good thing, but still, killing off all the type-based archetypes for the sake of stopping Sams?

Anyway can't take wild guesses about the banlist, we'll have to wait to see it.

it isn't that good really. If it was at 3, I wouldn't care. Lightning Vortex works for ALL faceup monsters no matter their type and you don't have to waste your normal summon on it. People don't even use Vortex though. I don't care that Virus is banned either though :P

Hey! Mass Driver OTKS! GTFO my Yugiohz!!!!!!! Six Sams got hurt too!

So yeah it is real. I guess bb goyo! But still Chaos at 3 snipe at 3 Trooper and Reaper at 2 not bad! Sad about dandy but it was obvious. Also they banned cold wave but didnt give heavy back! I see Breaker being busy in the new format. Also Overload and Megamorgh at 2 so we can play otk. Not Half bad :)

Well this list seems more official and realistic, and we're close enough to the actual banlist. So I'll give my thoughts on it

Goyo: what?! Why?! Goyo is good but geez, doesn't deserve a ban!
Cold Wave: so sad for me :(. Can't say I didn't see it coming though...but they should have brought Heavy back or unlimited MST! Cold Wave was healthy for the format...no everyone can do whatever the heck they want.
Mass Driver: should've been banned long ago. Really happy about this

Honest: unneeded limitation. It was balanced at 2 IMO
Dandylion: :( :( :( :( :(. Again, can't say i didn't see it coming though. He's been limited before and yet he's never been abused so much before too
Kalut: why the bw hate konami? Bw are great but why hit them every dang banlist? They're gonna just die soon...I don't get it. I'm okay with Icarus semi'd, that makes it slightly more fair...but they're already balanced...what, konami can't just let a deck live for more than a few years?
Book: why? Just why? Book is a staple, but it is NOT broken. Furthermore, it's needed for defense against Decree builds...maybe this is balancing out having so few spell/trap hate cards left legal? Because now Trap Stun can take over Cold Wave's slot I suppose...all you have to fear is one card in the whole deck
Gateway: this needed to be done. LSS are way too good with this at 3, and they will still kick the crap out of most decks even with it at 1

Archlord Kristya: kinda pointless IMO. Good card, fairies are good, but...idk. Just not needed. Although I can kinda see it if we get that fairy structure deck
Spirit Reaper: bad idea IMO. It was limited for a reason and it's basically already semi'd with Marshmallon limited
Debris Dragon: :( :( :(. Guess it kinda balances debris and qd...dandy already did that though. Idk, to me the thing that balanced QuickDraw/Debris the most was dead hands, which it gets more often than other decks. The decks will recover I think
Royal Tribute: not a bad idea. Gk are definately still playable with this at 2, yet their opponents feel less cheated since they can't use it turn 1 every single time now
Overload Fusion: *facepalm* not another otk format...maybe reaper at 2 isn't so bad...
Megamorph: don't really care
Solemn Warning: don't really care about this either. If you use 3, you're just being a show-off to say you have 3 expensive warning. 3 is overkill and 2 is the current staple. Looks like that isn't going to change next format, but now people can't overkill
Icarus Attack: see Kalut explanation. This I'm not too sad about but this + Kalut limited is just unecessarily mean

Demise, King Of Armageddon: nobody really cares. He's one of those cards that made you think: "um, why is he on this list?" Good to see Konami is unlimiting those kind of cards
Snipe Hunter: same as Demise
Dewlorian: same as Demise and Snipe
Gold Sarcophagus: I don't know why they unlimited it, but I suppose it doesn't hurt/help much. Then again, it gives us the opportunity to search out limited cards for the otk (Future Fusion and the newly semi'd Overload fusion come to mind
Skill Drain: now this is interesting. At 3, it makes Skill Drain decks possible again
Ultimate Offering: again, I think konami is setting us up for an otk format -.-

So, in summary: Konami realy hates Blackwings, they somewhat reasonably limited other top decks without killing them, and they're giving us more copies of cards in such a way as allowing for more otk's, but got rid of the one thing that ensured otk victory: Cold Wave. And they also gave us more defense from otk's with 2 Reapers. All in all a reasonable format I suppose. We've had worse and more random formats tbh

about overload and megamorph it just sucks but i don't think otk'ing will be that easy with heavy still at banned list
Royal tribute was too abusable.. Semi isn't good imo. Should be limited.

About the others i have no comments. Expectable except Ultimate Offering at 3 which is PRO and balanced.. for me at least :D

Sad for oppre not back at 2 :/ but meh. It's an ok banlist. *starts creating new decklists*

Of course it has been played a lot, and when you come to think of it, it also goes right over Shien and takes it over, which could backfire on the new six sam era a lot. Of course that isn't the soul reason of it being banned, but I myself see no problems with it being Banned.

Cold Wave:
We being the players of this game have been waiting a long time to see this card go down to the banned section of the list. Although I do believe this format will need a card like Cold wave. But on the other hand it would be challenging to play without it and still do some OTK's.

Mass Driver: I fully agree with it.

Limited:
Honest: Was actually hoping for it to get banned, but this also works for me.
Dandylion: Was expecting it already as said earlier, the right thing to do in my opinion
Blackwing - Kalut the Moon Shadow: Same as with Honest, broken card and should be limited.
Book of Moon: Rather weird for to see this card go down to being limited from the unlimited list, and will sure have some impact on the gameplay of a lot of people. Will get interesting.
Gateway of the Six: Expected and needed, enough said.

Archlord Kristya: If you have followed the OCG a bit you would see that Fairies are the match-up versus Six sams and they just had to tune it down a bit and I agree.

Royal Tribute: Weird to see it being Semi'd instead of limited, but still a broken card at 2 is broken.

Icarus Attack: Perfect, finally Konami has decided to turn such a splash-able card in the semi'd list. Chain-able, potential +1 so yeah it should be here.

Demise, King of Armageddon: Heall Yeah, with Megamoprh semi'd i could see these type of OTK decks again.

Skill Drain: Could be problematic, but meh we need some counter cards for those Six sams and all.

And also Scrap Chimera parties with just 1 bom ._.

Heck yes they will. Have you played against them yet? The deck engine will have to change slightly but they will still top. Yup you're right about sabers and scrap, and don't forget Dragunities :D. Book, their greatest weakness, is much less of a threat
